REVIEW ROUND

Adele has become one of the most successful recording artists of this decade with her debut album "19" being released on the 28th of January 2008. The appealing aspect of Adele's singing and song writing is her songs are written based on the ups and mostly downs of her love life. Her album titles are reference to her age when they are recorded. Her newest album however has been in the charts for 20 weeks at the top of the album charts; the album is titled "21" again with reference to her age. Her first album would have seemed hard to top but Adele certainly topped it with "21" remarkable voice it seems she has no limits to how much she amazes listeners.

1.       "Rolling in the Deep" – this track is not typical of Adele with a much more up-beat tempo than usual. However lyrically it is Adele all over with lyrics of life experience. The perfect lead song for the album.

2.       "Rumour Has it" – a mix of soul with rock and roll this one is a unique musical beat the kind of tune you can't help but beat your feet too.

3.       "Turning Tables" – almost breathtaking vocals in this with piano being the main creator of the music. Co written with one republic Ryan tedder and produced by the same producer as the highly successful band "The Arctic Monkeys".

4.       "Don't You Remember" - I personally think that this is one of the best tracks on the album "21" meaningful lyrics and you can hear the meaning of them to her in her voice.

5.       " Set Fire to the Rain" – with this track it has unnecessary editing in the production which takes the unique part of Adele's voice away which is that she has a naturally without the need for editing.

6.       "He Won't Go" – purely r&b but works perfectly for Adele and suits her voice to a tee. Lyrics have meaning which doesn't make a change for Adele. A remarkable track.

7.       "Take it All" – with this track in particular we can relate and understand the lows of what Adele has been through personally in her love life and life in general. Meaningful true lyrics.

8.       "I'll be Waiting"- here Adele has gone for another upbeat track with faster tempo, i think this is probably one of the poorer tracks on the album but by Adele's standards it could be a number 1..

9.       "One and Only" – in this track Adele's powerful voice is truly shown and i believe it is one of the most powerful vocal performances Adele has ever given in a song. The true story line behind the lyrics is also very evident with this track.

10.   "Lovesong" – A very moving track displays both Adele's singing and song writing these combined result in a exquisite vocal performance along with lyrics that display Adele's talent to write songs perfectly as well as sing them perfectly.

11.   "Someone Like You" everyone knows this one, lead single. Perfect ending for the perfect album.

19 looked hard to beat but somehow she didn't just manage to make it better but Adele managed to make 21 one of the best selling albums ever by a UK artists meaning that 21 really will take some beating. Saying that though I can't wait to hear the third album if it beats 21 I can tell you it will be one special album.
